BIOGRAPHY

After a master’s degree in classical singing at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSM), lyrical soprano Lise Nougier becomes a member of the Académie de l’Opéra de Paris in 2021.

From a very young age, Lise has had a great sensitivity for poetry, the French language and theater. She graduated successfully with a dual bachelor’s degree in modern literature and performing arts but also received extensive training in acting, clown work and tap-dancing.

Classical singing but more specifically opera revealed itself to be the only path for the soprano. She makes her debut in Verdi’s Rigoletto as the “il paggio della duchessa” at the Opéra de Paris (Bastille). She continues on as “Virtu” in Monteverdi’s Incoronazione di popea at Athénée theater with the Poème Harmonique and “Pastuchyna” in the Tchek opera Jenufa at Opéra de Rouen.

Lise’s voice is well known for it’s round and silvery high pitch. Her large range as well as her virtuasity allows her to interpret most beautifully roles such as “Fiordiligi” in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte, “Mimi” in Puccini’s La Bohème or “Micaëla” in Bizet’s Carmen.

Lise has had the privilege to share the stage with great artists including the soprano Diana Damrau and the baritone Nicolas Testé in a recital accompanied by the Orchestre du Grand Avignon, directed by Debora Waldman. She also had the great fortune of being invited by the soprano Sabine Devielhe and the pianist Alexandre Thoraud to sing at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, as part of the Momentum program.

Lise Nougier was nominated Révélation Lyrique (Lyrical revelation) by ADAMI in 2019.
