About

Lise Nougier is a passionate and highly promising lyric soprano, trained at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSM), where she obtained her Master’s degree in vocal performance before joining the Paris Opera Academy. Her encounter with the renowned soprano Diana Damrau in 2020 marked a decisive turning point in her vocal journey, fostering both her artistic and technical development.

Her voice—velvety and rounded, with a bright, silvery upper register—stands out for its rare richness of timbre. This range allows her to approach demanding roles with natural elegance, such as Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte by Mozart, Mimì in La Bohème by Puccini, and Micaëla in Carmen by Bizet. More recently, she performed the First Lady in The Magic Flute by Mozart in Montreal with the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute, as well as the role of Marguerite in Faust by Gounod at the Théâtre de Mâcon.

Lise has had the honor of collaborating with renowned artists such as Claire Gibault, Alain Françon, Sabine Devieilhe, and Alexandre Tharaud, and has performed at prestigious festivals including Les Folles Journées de Nantes, the Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival, Festival Glanum, and the Ravel Festival.

Deeply sensitive to text and the French language, Lise has always nurtured a passion for theatre. She holds a double bachelor’s degree in Modern Literature and Performing Arts, and has further enriched her training through studies in acting, improvisation, clowning, and tap dance. These diverse artistic experiences come together in her creations, such as P.S.: je vous relis sans cesse, a performance blending opera and theatre around some of the most beautiful letters from the lyric repertoire and French chanson, woven together through a romantic storyline.

Always in search of new sound worlds, she has recently begun collaborating with harpist Sujata Chapelain on a program dedicated to French mélodie.

Named ADAMI Lyric Revelation in 2019 and awarded First Prize (Soloist) at the Gordes Competition in September 2025, Lise Nougier continues to leave her mark on the operatic stage, captivating audiences with her talent, commitment, and unique personality.
